Role Description

The purpose of this consultancy is to strengthen the entrepreneurial, business management, digital, leadership, and investment readiness capacities of 30 women-led MSMEs participating in the WE-Collabo Hub project. The consultant will design and facilitate a comprehensive and practical entrepreneurship acceleration program that combines training, coaching, mentorship, and business advisory support to address the specific needs of women entrepreneurs. The consultancy aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, tools, and networks to improve business performance, access markets and investment opportunities including finance, adopt digital solutions, and develop investment-ready enterprises, contributing to the growth of sustainable women-led businesses.

The consultant will specifically:

  • Design an entrepreneurship acceleration curriculum tailored to women-led MSMEs.
  • Conduct business diagnostics to identify capacity gaps among participating enterprises.
  • Strengthen participants' entrepreneurial and leadership competencies.
  • Improve business planning and strategic management skills.
  • Build participants' financial management and investment readiness capacities.
  • Strengthen digital entrepreneurship and AI literacy for business growth.
  • Enhance marketing, branding, customer acquisition, and market expansion strategies.
  • Support women entrepreneurs to improve productivity, innovation, and competitiveness.
  • Provide one-on-one mentorship and business coaching.
  • Prepare participants to successfully pitch their businesses to investors and financial institutions.
  • Support entrepreneurs to develop practical Business Growth Plans and Investment Pitch Decks.
  • Document lessons learned and provide recommendations for scaling the WE-Collabo Hub model.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Finance, Innovation Management, Marketing, Development Studies, or another relevant field.
  • A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in entrepreneurship development, business incubation, or MSME acceleration.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering entrepreneurship training programmes for women-owned businesses.
  • Proven expertise in business coaching, mentoring, and investment readiness.
  • Strong understanding of Rwanda's MSME ecosystem, entrepreneurship policies, and financial sector.
  • Experience supporting enterprises in agribusiness, climate-smart agriculture, digital innovation, the care economy, health technology, or creative industries is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working with UN agencies, international organizations, or donor-funded programmes is a strong asset.
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda is required.
  • Knowledge of French is an asset.
