Role Description

The UNICEF Learning Innovation Hub is seeking a consultant to support the implementation and scale-up of digital learning initiatives supporting the Center of Excellence in Bangkok, including UNICEF country programmes across the region, with a focus on the Learning Passport (LP) platform and the Accessible Digital Textbooks (ADT) initiative.

• Support the implementation of the LP in Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.
• Rollout of the Accessible Digital Textbooks initiative in Bhutan, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and other interested countries.
• Provide technical support for regional knowledge exchange and respond to country technical assistance requests for continuity of learning.
• Support the implementation, monitoring, and strengthening of digital learning programmes across Asia-Pacific.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, information technology, development studies, engineering, social sciences, or another relevant field.
• A minimum of five years of professional experience in Technology for Development (T4D) and/or Information system development.
• Experience with UNICEF global programmes such as Accessible Digital Textbooks (ADT) and the Learning Passport is preferred.
• Experience in digital learning for children with disabilities.
• Proven training and capacity-building skills for a range of stakeholders.
• Good technical understanding and familiarity with LMS and authoring tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in teaching with education technology/blended learning is considered an asset.
• Experience in accessible digital content creation is considered an asset.
• Experience working in a developing country is considered an asset.

Requirements

• Fluency in English is required.
• Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
