[Hiring] Cybersecurity Instructor @CodeStream Studios

Role Description

We're seeking Tech Education Instructors (Independent Contractors) with programming expertise and a passion for teaching to deliver instruction in:

• Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js)
• Python
• Game Development
• Java
• Mobile App Development
• Cybersecurity

Instructors guide students through coding activities, troubleshoot technical challenges, evaluate student progress, and facilitate interactive learning experiences using our proprietary CodeStream Online Studio (CSOS) platform.

Qualifications

• Dynamic, team-oriented skills to serve as a Cyber Security Instructor.
• Recent teaching experience in cybersecurity.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with current industry trends and best practices.
• Comfortable using communication and collaboration tools like Google Docs, Gmail, Slack, Notion, Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
• Expert-level knowledge and experience in server management, hardware, software, networking, mobility, virtualization, project management, and security.
• Network+ CompTIA Security+ certified; CCNA, CISSP SANS, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are strongly desired.
• Must be CompTIA CYSA+ certified or able to earn the certificate within 30 days of hire.
• Teaching experience, preferably with adults in an online environment.
• Proficient in TCP/IP networking and networking protocols as well as Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with Linux, Windows Server Environments, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Penetration Testing, and Vulnerability Assessment.
• Ability to teach in a highly interactive and hands-on style.
• Flexibility to adapt to continuous changes in the curriculum.

Requirements

• Provide ongoing feedback, conferencing, and performance appraisals to students.
• Coordinate closely with students’ career coach and learner support staff.
• Prepare student evaluations individually.
• Participate in all required student progress meetings.
• Monitor and enforce student class attendance.
• Provide input on tech curriculum and any changes needed.
• Conduct real-time student data entry in Salesforce.com.

Benefits

• Pay range between $35 - $45 hourly, determined by geography and qualifications.
