[Hiring] Consultant - Training-oriented Climate Change and Human Mobility Training Package for Thailand @IOM

Role Description

The Consultant will design, develop, pilot, validate, and finalize the Climate Change and Human Mobility Training Manual for Thailand. The Training Manual aims to consolidate fragmented evidence into a structured, practical, and accessible knowledge product.

• Develop a practical and training-oriented Climate Change and Human Mobility Training Manual for Thailand.
• Consolidate and translate existing evidence, concepts, methodologies, policy frameworks, case studies, and operational tools into an accessible learning resource.
• Support knowledge transfer, strengthen institutional capacity, and facilitate informed decision-making on climate-related human mobility in Thailand.
• Produce a publication-ready Training Manual, a facilitator guide, training presentation materials, and practical tools and exercises.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Sciences (e.g., Migration Studies, Economics, International Relations, Development Studies, Environmental Studies) or a related field.
• A multidisciplinary background combining social sciences, climate change, environmental studies, migration, public policy, education, or related fields is an advantage.
• Minimum five years of demonstrated experience in developing training manuals, curricula, toolkits, or comparable structured learning products.
• Proven expertise in translating technical evidence and policy materials into practical training content for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated experience in climate change, human mobility, disaster risk reduction, development policy, or related fields.
• Experience working with government agencies and other institutional stakeholders, preferably in Thailand or Southeast Asia.

• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
