Role Description

The BUS/IT department at UAPTC is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidates interested in part-time teaching opportunities in accounting. The position may require possible on-campus teaching responsibilities at multiple campuses and may include live streaming, webinar, and online courses. Candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success and excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

General Responsibilities:

• Teaching at the undergraduate level per semester.
• Development of course materials, assignments, and assessment of student learning outcomes within the structure of the course.
• Management of blackboard LMS and online learning environments.
• Management of accurate student records and timely submission of syllabuses, roster certifications, and grades.
• Commitment to follow institutional and department policies regarding all course and college procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with students, colleagues, and staff, including timely communication replies.
• Ability and willingness to use contemporary educational techniques and technologies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in accounting or related field or a graduate degree with 18 graduate hours in accounting or related field is required.
• Availability to teach day, evening, or online classes.
• Possess the competence and experience to develop, revise, implement, and assess curriculum to ensure that students are acquiring necessary skills, including familiarity with technology used in classroom settings.
• Possess a thorough knowledge of general business, business law, accounting, or economics field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success, and excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience as an Accountant or related field.
• College teaching experience preferred.

Requirements

• Salary Information: $675 per credit hour.
