Role Description

This Adjunct Faculty position will provide high-quality, part-time instructional support within the Business Law and Auditing disciplines. The primary goal is to deliver engaging and effective teaching that fosters student learning, critical thinking, and academic success. This role involves:

• Preparing and delivering course materials
• Assessing student performance
• Contributing to the academic community through collaboration with full-time faculty
• Participating in departmental activities

Adjunct Faculty members play a vital role in enriching the curriculum by bringing practical experience and current knowledge from their respective fields. Ultimately, this position supports the institution’s mission to provide accessible, flexible, and rigorous education to a diverse student population.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in the relevant academic discipline or a closely related field from an accredited institution
• Demonstrated expertise and knowledge in the subject area to be taught
• Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level or equivalent professional experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues

Requirements

• Experience with in-person, online or hybrid course delivery and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS)
• A doctoral degree in the relevant field or related academic credentials
• Professional certifications or licenses relevant to the discipline
• Experience working with diverse student populations and commitment to inclusive teaching practices
• Active involvement in scholarly activities, research, or professional development

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver course content in alignment with the institution’s curriculum standards and learning objectives
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that promote student engagement and comprehension
• Evaluate and grade student work promptly and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth
• Maintain regular communication with students to address questions, provide guidance, and support their educational progress
• Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional quality and student outcomes
