2d ago - Farm Owners Academy is hiring a remote Accountability Coach. 💸 Salary: unspecified 📍Location: Australia

Role Description

Be part of an amazing coaching team supporting Australian farming families. If you have a strong connection to the agriculture industry, solid business acumen, and genuinely care about both results and people — this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What We Offer

  • Remote Contract Work: Enjoy the flexibility and autonomy of working entirely from home.
  • Hourly Rate: Attractive hourly rate reflective of senior-level capability.
  • Supportive Team Culture: You’ll be part of a driven, high-performing team that values clarity, ownership, and collaboration. We stay connected through regular online check-ins and come together in person multiple times per year.
  • Start Date: Mid-End January 2027.
  • Hours: Minimum 20 hours per week (with flexibility e.g. to work within school hours).
  • Travel Opportunities: Attend 2–3 Australia-based member events per year.
  • Grow your Coaching and Leadership Skills: We provide world-class coach and leadership training to our Accountability Coach contractors.

Role Purpose

As an Accountability Coach, you will coach six groups of growth-oriented farm business owners through our three-year Platinum Mastermind Program. Your role is to help members stay focused, take action, and achieve meaningful progress in their business and personal development.

This is a coaching role built on consistency, care, and accountability. You’ll guide members through the challenges of running a farm business – helping them build clarity, confidence, and capability along the way.

You’ll be part of a collaborative coaching team, reporting to the Head Coach, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional member experience.

Our Platinum Mastermind Program focuses on skills advancement in:

  • Financial literacy – budgeting, benchmarking, and decision analysis
  • Business planning and strategic development
  • Leadership – communication, people management, and negotiation
  • Mindset and self-development
  • Time management and personal productivity
  • Entrepreneurship and business systems
  • Farm operational efficiency and performance
  • Marketing – market development and expansion

Training: You don’t need to arrive knowing our coaching approach. We’ll teach you. Before you take on your first group, you’ll complete 4 to 8 weeks of onboarding.

You’ll start in mid to late January 2027 with onboarding and join our February events. You’ll take on your first two groups at the end of March, then add two more in July and two in October. By the end of your first year, you’ll be coaching six groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coaching & Facilitation:
    • Facilitate monthly Mastermind group sessions with energy, structure, and purpose.
    • Coach members one-on-one to support their individual goals and challenges.
    • Hold members accountable to their commitments and celebrate their progress.
    • Identify when members are struggling and escalate concerns to the Head Coach as needed.
  • Member Experience & Relationships:
    • Build strong, trusted relationships with your clients and the wider FOA community.
    • Go the extra mile to deliver an outstanding, personalised experience.
    • Maintain accurate records of member progress and participation.
  • Team & Professional Development:
    • Follow FOA coaching frameworks and processes to ensure consistency across the team.
    • Participate in monthly coach training and development sessions.
    • Attend and contribute to company events and client conferences.
    • Continuously seek ways to improve your own coaching practice.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in business ownership or management.
  • A farming background or strong connection to the agricultural sector.
  • Solid business acumen and confidence discussing numbers and strategy.
  • Previous coaching, mentoring or facilitation experience (highly regarded).
  • Familiarity with accountability-based coaching models (advantageous).

About You

  • Genuinely member-focused and cares deeply about helping people succeed.
  • Strong follow-through — you do what you say you’ll do, and you expect the same from others.
  • Communicates clearly, warmly and directly.
  • Brings calm consistency, even when others are under pressure.
  • Highly organised and manages your time well.
  • Takes initiative and works independently with ease.
  • Values being part of a collaborative, high-performing team.
  • Willing and able to travel within Australia as required.
  • Set up to work effectively from home, with reliable internet and a professional workspace.
