Role Description
The Academic Services Professional is the primary customer service specialist to provide information and problem solving for internal and external audiences regarding a variety of courses/programs offered through Extended Studies Academic Outreach | High School Programs. This position provides operational support by utilizing various University systems.
The Academic Services Professional assists in managing the Noncredit programs and provides operational support for the High School Programs. In addition, this position serves as the primary HR and Financials Liaison for Extended Studies Academic Outreach department.
Essential Functions

Customer Service (10%)
-
Assist faculty, staff, students, parents and all customers via phone and email who are seeking information regarding Extended Studies Academic Outreach | High School Programs.

Operational Support (30%)
-
Manage day-to-day operational office support and contribute to the vision of Extended Studies Academic Outreach department.

Responsible for accurate data entry of Course Information Sheets (CIS) for Extended Studies Academic Outreach courses.

Resolve suspended and duplicate applications, generate grade rosters, input grades, registrations, drops/withdrawals, and utilize system reports in CU-SIS and other University systems as needed.

Communicate and actively engage with Admissions and Records teams regarding application and course scheduling processes.

Communicate with campus departments regarding procedures and policies for scheduling Extended Studies Academic Outreach courses in CU-SIS.

Serve on University and community committees as deemed necessary.

Extended Studies Program Support (20%)

Assist in managing noncredit CEU courses.

Collaborate with campus departments and others to develop, implement and advertise noncredit courses.

Update and improve enrollment instructions and websites for noncredit programs.

High School Program Support (20%)
-
Assist in managing high school programs.

Communicate with administrators, parents, students regarding program options.

Update and improve enrollment instructions and websites for high school programs.

Human Resources Support (10%)
-
HR Liaison for Extended Studies Academic Outreach programs.

Create and process Letters of Offer, Scope of Work contracts and Person of Interest forms as needed.

Responsible for accurate data entry in the HCM or PSC system for payments.

Attend HR Liaison meetings/updates to ensure all University procedures are followed.

Financial & Procurement Support (10%)

Manage all Procurement Services tasks such as pcard reconciliation, office supply ordering, creating SPOs and other forms of payment of expenses.

Assist with Financial tasks such as creating Journal Entries.

Attend Financial Liaison meetings/updates to ensure all University Procedures are followed.
Qualifications

A Bachelorβs degree from an accredited institution of higher education is required.

Must have experience working in a university, college or high school setting.

Must have experience with detailed data entry.

Experience in course/program management in a revenue generating environment is required.
Requirements

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs has implemented a misconduct history check program with respect to final candidates for specific appointments.
