Role Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hybrid infrastructure and Microsoft ecosystems, along with extensive experience in Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI), virtualization and data protection solution (Veeam). The Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining, optimizing and securing our hybrid infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliable data protection across on-premises and cloud-integrated environments. Our colleague will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure and backup services (provisioning, configuration, monitoring, recovery and decommissioning) as well as troubleshooting and optimizing compute, storage and backup performance.

• Deploy, configure and manage Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI environments
• Administer and maintain virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, clustered environments)
• Integrate on-prem infrastructure with Azure services (hybrid connectivity, Arc, etc.)
• Monitor infrastructure health, capacity and performance
• Design, implement and manage backup strategies using Veeam
• Configure and maintain backup jobs, replication and retention policies
• Troubleshoot backup failures and optimize performance
• Automate routine infrastructure and backup operations

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Azure Stack HCI / hybrid infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
• Solid knowledge of virtualization (Hyper-V, clustering)
• Strong understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery principles
• Strong experience with Windows Server environments
• Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls)
• Experience with storage technologies (SAN, NAS, RAID, software-defined storage)
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell required)
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools is a plus

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on virtualization, Windows Server environments, and data protection
• Hands-on experience with Azure Stack HCI and/or hybrid infrastructure platforms
• Proven experience administering and supporting enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam
• Solid experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, clustered environments)
• Strong understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery principles (RPO/RTO, replication, failover)
• Experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory integration and system management
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls) and storage technologies (SAN, NAS, RAID)
• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred)
• Certifications in Microsoft Azure, virtualization, or Veeam are considered an advantage
