Role Description

This role involves working alongside the Infrastructure and Development teams to maintain high-security data centers and Azure environments, with a focus on becoming entirely cloud-native over the next 3 years.

Support and lead elements of the modernization process
Champion building observable systems
Communicate the need for infrastructure, architecture, or code changes
Own capacity planning and emergency response from a technical perspective
Learn and take ownership of projects proactively
Work collaboratively with other developers
Monitor infrastructure and applications using Prometheus and Grafana
Utilize Graylog for logging
Automate system provisioning and deployments using Ansible
Participate in incident response and troubleshooting
Document run books and propose improvements

Qualifications

Cloud architecture knowledge, particularly with Azure
Distributed application analysis, troubleshooting, and development experience
Experience designing and building monitoring systems (Prometheus, Graylog, Grafana etc.)
Experience troubleshooting Windows (including IIS) and Linux systems
Knowledge of IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform etc.)
Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
Practical incident response experience
SQL Server / Postgres / Redis knowledge
Strong documentation and communication skills
Any experience with .Net / C# is advantageous

Requirements

Ability to undergo security training and vetting processes
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Proactive documentation of areas of knowledge
