Role Description
We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our small and focused engineering team to build the next generation of web scraping tools together. We’re building a world where data collection is a breeze and where publicly available data is at anyone’s doorstep.
- Enhance the scalability and fault tolerance of our large-scale infrastructure that gets 1 billion+ requests a week, by implementing monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Lead the transition of services from DigitalOcean to Hetzner, ensuring minimal disruption, while keeping everything secure.
- Develop and implement robust disaster recovery and redundancy strategies.
- Strengthen security measures to protect against continuous threats and attacks.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities without compromising performance or security.
- Work closely with development teams, with potential involvement in AI projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with cloud platforms; familiarity with DigitalOcean and Hetzner is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes for managing large-scale deployments.
- Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript; knowledge of Python and Ruby is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems.
- Experience in setting up and maintaining continuous integration and deployment workflows.
- Ability to implement and manage security best practices in cloud environments.
