Role Description

Cotton & Company is looking for a talented, creative, and forward-thinking Web Designer with UX/UI and AI experience to help expand our digital capabilities. We're open to a variety of working arrangements, including full-time, part-time, freelance, on-site, remote, and flexible schedules—even evenings and weekends. Our priority is finding the right talent to help us build and grow this area of our agency.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who thrives on both collaboration and independence. We're looking for someone who can take direction, bring ideas to life, and confidently take the lead when needed. Someone who doesn't wait for all the answers but enjoys finding them through research, experimentation, and continuous learning.

What You'll Do

• Design visually compelling, responsive websites, landing pages, and digital experiences with a strong focus on UX/UI principles.
• Create intuitive user interfaces that balance aesthetics, functionality, accessibility, and performance.
• Utilize AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to enhance creativity, streamline workflows, and explore new digital solutions.
• Collaborate with our creative, production, and account teams to bring client concepts and campaigns to life.
• Contribute to graphic design, creative layouts, and digital marketing materials as needed.
• Translate creative direction, client objectives, and brand standards into polished digital experiences.
• Research, troubleshoot, and independently develop solutions to new design and technical challenges.
• Help identify opportunities, recommend tools and processes, and contribute to the growth of our web and digital design capabilities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in web design, UX/UI design, and responsive digital experiences.
• Working knowledge of AI tools and a genuine interest in exploring how emerging technologies can improve creative work.
• Strong graphic design skills, including layout, typography, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency with relevant design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable platforms.
• Familiarity with website platforms, content management systems, and web development fundamentals.
• Ability to take creative direction, incorporate feedback, and collaborate effectively with a team.
• A self-starter who is equally comfortable following direction and taking ownership when direction is limited.
• A natural curiosity and passion for self-learning, problem-solving, and keeping up with evolving technologies.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Bonus Points For

• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or front-end development.
• Experience designing and developing websites using WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or similar platforms.
• Background in advertising, marketing, branding, or agency environments.
• Experience beyond web design, including print design, graphic design, creative production, or campaign development.
• Familiarity with SEO, accessibility standards, website analytics, and conversion-focused design.
• Experience integrating AI into design, content creation, prototyping, or production workflows.
