[Hiring] Video Editor @Goalcast

Role Description

We are looking for a Video Editor to join our team – someone who loves telling stories, is passionate about editing, and wants their creativity to reach millions of people.

• Edit and direct 20 to 30-minute true crime short documentaries.
• Collaborate daily with the Unseen team, and lead project contributors (researchers, voiceover actors, other editors, etc.) as needed.
• Tell stories with sensitivity, rigor, and accuracy, while staying aligned with current trends and your team’s ideas.
• Participate in the packaging and distribution of your project across all platforms (YouTube, Spotify, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.).

Qualifications

• A passion for video editing, media production, or content creation; you know how to bring a story to life and evoke strong emotions.
• Always on top of trends with a strong interest in analyzing and understanding what makes content go viral.
• You believe in the power of stories that inspire and provoke change. You want to make a difference with your storytelling.
• Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other post-production tools.
• A great eye (and ear) for music and b-roll, combined with a deep sensitivity to emotion.
• Ability to deliver high-quality content in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Know how to drive your own project from start to finish while successfully multitasking.
• Thrives on feedback and collaboration: you are genuinely excited about building something great as a team.

Requirements

• North American based candidates only (International applications will not be considered).
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Film/TV production or Post-Production is an asset, but not required.
• Work experience in the world of social media is an asset.
• Strong communication skills.
• Scriptwriting experience is an asset.
• Mastery of Adobe software (Premiere Pro and After Effects).
