Role Description
The UX Designer is responsible for creating satisfying and compelling experiences for the users of the organization's digital products and services, often by drawing on results from user research and workflow analysis.

Researches and analyzes user needs and sentiment.

Creates and tests service design blueprints.

Works with Product Managers and other Designers to turn insights into actual product features.

Returns to different stages in the process to keep on top of what end users need and continuously improve the product.

Facilitates and/or drives the stages of the innovation design process.

Helps to establish and evolve the product from concept to proof of concept for user testing.

Leads the UX research, design, and testing for new experiences and improvements of existing experiences.

Advocates for strategic design solutions, highlighting inputs influencing decisions including business and user goals, demographic and usage data, and research findings.

Communicates the user experience at various stages of the design process with mental model maps, wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, personas, mockups, and/or high-fidelity prototypes.

Delivers work thatโs user-friendly and aesthetically engaging, producing results.

Assesses and optimizes the performance of new and existing features by actively participating/leading in user research and assessing performance metrics.

Mentors more junior designers/researchers and leads the design/research workstream within a project/program.

Confidently presents design concepts, articulates ideas, and facilitates brainstorming sessions with leaders, developers, and stakeholders.

Conducts independent research and competitive analysis on multiple aspects of products and experiences from a UX, product, and strategy perspective.

Collects and analyzes user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs, and online experiments (A/B testing).

Works with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, Business Operations Specialists, Digital Strategists, and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, while incorporating complex technical and business requirements.

Designs and executes user research using qualitative and quantitative methods, including ethnographic studies, primary interviews, generative design research, usability studies, and A/B testing.

Masters planning, conducting, and synthesizing ethnographic studies and primary interviews with users/customers and major stakeholders.
