Role Description

At Staker Parson Materials & Construction, we are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our team and contribute to a long-term project that plays a crucial role in our scientific R&D, productization, and manufacturing efforts. As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for designing user interfaces that are not only efficient and intuitive but also safety-conscious, providing clarity and insight for our teammates, investors, and partners.

• Branding and Visual Identity: Ensure that the UI designs align with Staker Parson Materials & Construction's branding guidelines, maintaining a consistent visual identity across all digital products.
• Responsive Design: Develop UI solutions that are responsive and adaptable to various devices and screen sizes, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Prototyping and Wireframing: Build interactive prototypes and wireframes to demonstrate design concepts, gather feedback from stakeholders and users, and refine the user experience.
• User Research and Testing: Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points, and incorporate findings into the design process. Conduct usability testing to validate design choices and enhance user satisfaction.
• Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure UI designs align with the overall product vision and goals.
• Design System and Pattern Library: Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and pattern libraries, streamlining UI design processes and ensuring consistency across products.
• Accessibility: Ensure that UI designs meet accessibility standards, making digital products usable by all users, including those with disabilities.
• Animation and Interaction Design: Create engaging and user-friendly animations and interactions that enhance the overall user experience.
• Visual Asset Creation: Produce high-quality visual assets, such as icons, illustrations, and graphics, that complement the UI design.
• UI Implementation Support: Collaborate with front-end developers during the implementation phase to ensure the UI design is accurately translated into the final product.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing advanced apps, including scientific, B2B, or prosumer applications, and creating novel data visualizations.
• 2+ years of experience managing and contributing to a design system.
• Fluent in Figma and understand how to use components and assets effectively.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a talent for representing information in ways that are simple, intuitive, and minimize cognitive load.
• Consider common best practices but are also open to exploring novel solutions.
• Design responsive web UIs that optimize for the advantages of mobile and desktop.
• Thrive in a collaborative environment, seeking out critical feedback, and can clearly articulate the tradeoffs of different design directions.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $100,000 per year. Please note that the actual offer details will be determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level, and the salary range provided serves as a reference point.
