Role Description
Capital Technology Group (CTG) is on a mission to modernize and innovate the way the federal government delivers software. For this role specifically, we are seeking individuals to help support high-impact, civic tech within the federal government.
As an integral part of the program, the UI/UX Designer will help us understand our customers' business challenges and design a product vision that helps meet those needs. Our UI/UX Designer will:
- Work with stakeholders, customers, and our agile development teams via user research, interviews, focus groups.
- Incorporate various and sometimes competing needs into a single user experience.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure that the user experience is effective and user-friendly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, innovative, flexible, resilient, and receptive to critique and feedback
- Well-organized and able to handle multiple assignments
- Able to work effectively (independently and/or within teams) across functional areas in a collaborative environment
- Must be able to get up-to-speed quickly on new projects and technologies
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Requirements
- MUST BE US Citizens and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Experience designing user experiences for new and existing web-based applications from concept to completion
- Experience designing workflows and experiences that are intuitive, effective, and accessible
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively through low and high fidelity mockups
- Ability to design both a short term and long term UI/UX vision for products
- Critical thinking skills to formulate solutions and collaborate with developers and analysts to implement approved designs
- May mentor and supervise other team members

Salary Information
We are committed to offering a competitive salary for this position, with an estimated range of $85k to $125k annually. Please note that this range is intended to provide a general idea of what to expect. The final offer may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors.
