Our client is hiring a Social Media Video Editor to power up their fast-moving organic content team. As the firm leans further into influencer, UGC, and AI-driven content, they need a dedicated editor who can take raw footage from idea to polished, scroll-stopping short-form videoβat high volume and fast pace. This role is 100% focused on video, so you can put all your creative energy into storytelling, speed, and making every clip impossible to scroll past.
Key Responsibilities of the Social Media Video Editor

Short-Form Video Editing & Production
-
Edit high-quality short-form video content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

Produce high-volume video content consistently.
-
Turn around a typical short-form video in roughly 45 minutes to 1.5 hours once footage is organized.

Add captions, transitions, overlays, sound effects, and branded elements.
-
Repurpose long-form and influencer/UGC footage into short, viral-ready clips.

Stay on top of current video trends, formats, and editing styles.

Thumbnails & Video Packaging
-
Create simple, click-worthy thumbnails and cover frames.
-
Add basic text animations and motion effects.
-
Support the design team with quick visuals when needed.

Creative Direction & Influencer Research
-
Brainstorm and develop unique concepts and storytelling approaches.

Collaborate with the creative team to align videos with campaign goals.

Participate in social media brainstorming sessions.

Find high-impact Instagram pages and influencers.
-
Flag potential partnerships or viral opportunities.

Project Organization & Asset Management

Keep all produced content organized in Google Drive.

Tag and categorize content to keep workflows efficient.

Prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Align with the team's weekly production schedule.

AI & Emerging Tech (Preferred)

Use ChatGPT to generate hooks, captions, and creative prompts.

Experiment with AI tools for advanced video production.

Proven Video Editing Experience β Strong hands-on skills in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Trend-Savvy β Up to date on social media video trends, formats, and editing styles.
