Role Description
As a Senior UX Designer/Researcher, you will lead user experience research and design initiatives for enterprise digital modernization projects. This role focuses on user-centered design, usability testing, accessibility, and research-driven design recommendations to create intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital experiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve user journeys, optimize interfaces, and establish high-quality UX standards across multiple initiatives.

Plan, conduct, and analyze UX research to evaluate user needs, workflows, and experiences.

Facilitate usability testing sessions and translate findings into actionable design improvements.

Perform heuristic evaluations to identify usability and accessibility gaps.

Develop user journeys, personas, and experience maps for complex business processes.

Design wireframes, prototypes, and interactive user experiences using Figma.

Create and refine information architecture through techniques such as card sorting.

Ensure all designs align with WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.

Collaborate with architects, product owners, stakeholders, and technical teams to drive UX initiatives.

Provide data-driven design recommendations using research insights and analytics.

Produce clear design documentation, annotations, and presentation materials for stakeholders.
Qualifications

Extensive experience in UX research, usability testing, usability labs, and heuristic evaluations.

Advanced proficiency in Figma, wireframing, interactive prototyping, and user flow creation.

Strong expertise in user-centered design, journey mapping, persona development, and information architecture.

Practical experience conducting accessibility-focused design and WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance reviews.

Knowledge of focus management, keyboard navigation, color contrast requirements, and accessibility auditing.

Experience using research and analytics tools such as Hotjar, Crazy Egg, or similar platforms.

Ability to translate research findings into actionable design recommendations and business outcomes.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional teams.

Formal education in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UX Design, Human Factors, or a related field preferred.

Certifications or specialized training in UX research, design thinking, Google UX, Nielsen Norman Group, or related disciplines are highly desirable.
Requirements

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
