[Hiring] Senior UI/UX Designer @System Soft Technologies

Role Description

• 7 to 10 years of UI/UX or product design experience, with at least 4 years on B2B SaaS web applications, including multi-module platforms.
• Preferably, at least 3 years designing for BMS, energy, water or air quality management, HVAC, IoT, SCADA or industrial monitoring products.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in daily design work, with at least one portfolio example taken from concept to interactive prototype in under a week.
• Hands-on skill with AI-assisted prototyping: prompt-to-UI and prompt-to-code tools, AI features in Figma, and LLM assistants for research and content.
• The judgement to review AI output critically for usability, accuracy, accessibility and consistency with the design system.
• A portfolio that shows end-to-end journey work: the problem, the research, the options considered, the shipped design and the measured result.
• Strong skills in data-dense interface design: real-time dashboards, time-series trends, tables, alarms and equipment schematics.
• Hands-on user research experience with operational users, including field or site observation.
• Proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, auto layout, variables and interactive prototyping.
• Experience building or scaling a design system and working with engineers in an agile team.
• Working knowledge of responsive design and WCAG accessibility standards, and enough HTML/CSS understanding to work with AI-generated front-end code.
• Clear communication: you can explain a design decision to a CEO, a developer and a plant operator.
• A degree or diploma in design, HCI, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Qualifications

• Domain knowledge we expect:
• You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable talking to users in these areas:
• Building HVAC systems and how BMS users work day to day: trends, schedules, setpoints, alarms and overrides.
• Energy management: baselines, efficiency KPIs and savings verification.
• Water management in buildings.
• Indoor air quality monitoring.
• Facility compliance and audit workflows.
• Utility billing and cost allocation.
• Digital twins and gen AI assistants in operational products.

Requirements

• Preferred:
• Experience on a cloud BMS or remote building operations product.
• Experience designing conversational or gen AI assistant experiences inside a B2B product.
• Experience designing for AI or ML features: recommendations, anomaly and fault detection, explainability.
• Experience with billing, invoicing or compliance workflow products.
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, edge gateways and how connectivity limits shape the user experience.
• Knowledge of control-room display standards such as ISA-101 high-performance HMI and ISA-18.2 alarm management.
• Exposure to ESG and green-building reporting.
• Experience in an early-stage start-up, or as the first senior designer in a product team.
