Role Description

The Senior Technical Designer reports to the Senior Director, Design Services. This role plays a key part in the construction services industry, responsible for providing technical design expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Technical Designer contributes to the successful execution of construction projects by:

• Creating detailed drawings
• Collaborating with architects and engineers
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Translating design concepts into practical solutions
• Supporting the project team in achieving project objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent military or practical experience
• 2 – 3 years of experience in technical design in the construction services industry
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards
• Strong understanding of construction principles, materials, and methods
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance

Requirements

• Must have advanced Revit experience
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and convey technical information clearly and concisely
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to create detailed technical drawings
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in technical designs and documentation
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical solutions to address design challenges
