Role Description
You know how to read a funnel, identify where an experience is failing, and fix it with the same craft and precision you'd bring to anything else. You bring a clear point of view to ambiguous work, hold craft standards even when things move fast, and design toward outcomes you can actually measure. You'll work closely with our Principal Designer on Growth across the full scope of how Splice acquires, activates, and retains creators.
What You'll Do
-
Execute high-quality design across the full growth scope: onboarding, subscription and paywall experiences, referral programs, core site, and lifecycle moments.
-
Partner with our Principal Designer on Growth to shape what gets built, contributing to product decisions and pushing back on vague briefs.
-
Drive experimentation with rigor: identify problems, frame hypotheses, design variants, and interpret results.
-
Ship work that moves metrics: focus on onboarding completion, subscription conversion, and lifecycle moments.
-
Collaborate closely with Marketing, PMs, engineers, and data scientists to ensure fast, high-quality shipping.
-
Contribute to the design system by building scalable components and flagging inconsistencies.
-
Use AI-native tools as a standard part of your practice for rapid prototyping and execution.
Qualifications
-
7+ years of product design experience, with meaningful time in a growth, conversion, or retention context.
-
Your portfolio shows a refined eye and a high standard of execution.
-
Experience using AI-native tools (Cursor, Claude, or equivalent) as a standard part of your workflow.
-
Fluency in experimentation, including A/B testing and result interpretation.
-
Funnel thinking: ability to map conversion funnels and design toward specific outcomes.
-
Metric fluency: understanding of key growth metrics and their context.
-
Experience working fluidly within established design systems and contributing back to them.
-
Ability to partner naturally with PMs and engineers, influencing product direction through design thinking.
-
Strong presentation skills at every stage of the design process.
