[Hiring] Senior Product Designer - Embed @Kota

Role Description

The Senior Product Designer - Embed will report to the CTO and work remotely within +/- 4hrs GMT. This role focuses on designing a surface where sort-order decisions impact real money for tens of thousands of people. The designer will engage with a complex product, ideally B2B and API-driven, where the data model influences the interface.

• Design quality ownership in a dynamic environment.
• Work with 6–10 stakeholders in major decisions.
• Transform constraints into design opportunities.
• Produce prototypes that serve as specifications.
• Develop a body of named, citable design patterns.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex product design, preferably B2B and API-driven.
• Ability to explain the thought process behind shipped products.
• Familiarity with research methods at sprint cadence.
• Experience with user testing and rapid prototyping.
• Understanding of outcomes-over-outputs discipline.
• Systems thinking and promoting design patterns.
• Strong craft fundamentals in type, spacing, rhythm, and hierarchy.
• Comfort with tools like Cursor and Claude Code.

Requirements

• Experience with embedded financial products.
• Interest in fintech, financial services, insurance, or benefits platforms.
• Understanding of developer product experiences.
• Ability to design for technical users and integration-heavy products.
