[Hiring] Senior Product Designer, Assistant @QuillBot

Role Description

This role involves driving end-to-end product design, from initial user research and exploration to final pixel-perfect delivery in close collaboration with product managers, engineers, researchers, and senior design leadership.

• Design QuillBot’s browser extension experience for Chrome, Edge, and Safari, contributing to core capabilities, interaction patterns, and visual design.
• Ensure the browser extension integrates seamlessly with the web app and other product surfaces for a unified user experience.
• Contribute to and evolve the design language system, balancing reuse of patterns with the creation of new, scalable components.
• Advocate for user experience by understanding user needs, behaviors, and broader goals.
• Craft thoughtful experiences within browser constraints using strong interaction design and clear visual hierarchy.
• Nurture a culture of design excellence by participating in critiques, mentoring peers, and contributing to team rituals.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience designing consumer-facing web products or browser extensions.
• Portfolio showcasing systems thinking, polished visual design, and user-centered processes.
• Understanding and use of design systems to maintain consistency and scale design.
• Self-directed, thrives in ambiguity, and moves quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills with attention to craft and understanding of responsive design.
• Prototyper skills using Figma, Claude, code, or motion to explore and test ideas.
• Strong writing skills or appreciation for how language shapes experience.
• Experience designing for AI-powered tools or readiness to build UX for emerging AI capabilities.
• Bonus: Uses AI in design process, has front-end development skills.
