Role Description

As a Senior Product Designer on our Consumer team, you'll shape experiences used by tens of millions of people to sleep better, stress less, and live more mindfully. This is a builder's role in the truest sense:

• Own end-to-end product design initiatives covering the whole product experience (visual, interaction, motion, brand integration).
• Prototype quickly in Figma and with AI and low-code tools like Replit, Lovable, and Claude.
• Present your design work clearly and persuasively to cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and collaboration through engineering implementation and post-launch iterations.
• Use data and drive research to inform the experiences you build.
• Champion system-level thinking to improve team efficiency and evolve Calm's design system.
• Balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of execution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in UX and UI design with 5+ within consumer mobile and web applications.
• Highly proficient in Figma for design, and using AI and low-code tools for prototyping.
• Comfortable shipping small code changes without engineering support.
• Biased toward shipping and iterating over perfect plans.
• Incorporate both qualitative and quantitative insights into design decisions.
• A low-ego, trusted partner to Product, Research, and Engineering.
• A strong advocate for accessibility, consistency, visual storytelling, brand integration, and motion design.
• Present thinking persuasively to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years in UX/UI design with 5+ within consumer mobile (and web) applications.
• Proven experience driving user testing and research.
• Strong foundation in interaction design, visual design, and usability best practices.
• Experience designing and shipping mobile applications at scale.
• Hands-on proficiency in Figma and modern AI/prototyping tools.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a larger design vision and strategy.
