[Hiring] Senior Product Designer @OH-SO Digital

Role Description

We are a startup digital agency, and no two projects, clients, or even days look the same. But all of our days are agentic-first.

• In ecommerce, we design and build on Shopify and Next.js, with custom apps that take Shopify well past the defaults.
• On the marketing side, we create highly customised sites in Next.js and React, with careful design and animation and a real focus on how the page performs and feels.
• In automotive and other industries, we design full platforms, AI tools, and integrations, from stock-car locators to configurators and a lot more.
• Across all of it, we bring AI into the work through our own products.
• Design at OH-SO covers both product design and communication design, treating UI and content as one craft.
• We design with AI as a collaborator and for AI as a material.
• The artefact is code in a user's hand, not a Figma file waiting for approval.
• You will work across changing projects and settings, on long builds that run for months and shorter spikes to figure out how a business can actually use AI.
• You will help us rethink how agency work is done.

Qualifications

• Fluent German (C1 or native) and very good English.
• Typically 5+ years of designing digital products, with a portfolio that shows end-to-end ownership from concept to launched product.
• Recognised expertise in two or three areas, for example AI-native design, design systems, brand in product or communication design.
• Hands-on experience designing for generative or agentic AI, with a clear view of where these interfaces fail and how to design for those moments.
• AI as a daily working tool for research, exploration, prototyping, and production.
• A working understanding of modern web development: components, states, responsive layout, performance, and animation in React and Next.js.
• Expert Figma skills (auto layout, variables, components, Dev Mode, Code Connect) and experience building design systems that engineering teams adopt and maintain.
• Writing as part of the design, including copy for AI-driven interfaces.
• Accessibility built in from the start (WCAG), with a habit of testing and validating your work.
• The ability to translate business goals into design decisions, make trade-offs explicit, and stand by them.
• Confidence facilitating workshops, design sprints, and critiques with clients, strategy, and engineering.

Requirements

• Own entire projects or major workstreams across product, content, and brand in product.
• Shape the main creative idea together with Strategy and Content, and drive design direction across all surfaces.
• Design AI-native experiences: conversational UX, prompt-aware patterns, and agentic flows.
• Own the design system architecture of a project, including tokens, components, governance, Code Connect, and handover documentation.
• Pair with engineering throughout the build, prototype in code when that is the faster way to an answer, and run design QA against the live implementation.
• Act as the primary design contact for the client, leading workshops and handling difficult conversations.
• Lead project teams of two to five designers and adjacent crafts, review and sign off their work, and mentor Junior and Intermediate designers.
• Use AI to define new ways of working and share what works with the whole team.
• If you want: Represent OH-SO externally with case studies, talks, and articles.
