[Hiring] Senior Level Designer @Homa

Role Description

You’ll be the keeper of the player experience on our hybrid casual RPG. Combat, heroes, art, and features all come together in the levels you build, and you decide whether that adds up to something players want to come back to.

You’ll join a small, AI-native game team on its way to launch. You’ll own the level design area completely: you set the roadmap, make the calls, and ship. A dedicated level editor and an AI-powered level generation pipeline will be ready on day one, so you spend your time on what matters: making every level fun.

What you’ll do

• Build: Design, build, and tune levels directly in Unity, covering layouts, encounters, pacing, and difficulty.
• Scale: Triple our level content by combining our AI pipeline with your own design judgment.
• Balance: Model how health, damage, and stat changes affect the numbers before anything ships.
• Polish: Bring existing levels to final quality and give them the feel and juice that make players stay.
• Own: Set the level design roadmap, make design calls, and question whether each choice fits the game.
• Specify: Write clear, detailed specs that developers can implement as written.
• Learn from players: Use playtests and player data to see what works and iterate quickly.
• AI: Use AI every day to generate layouts, prototype encounters, simulate balancing, and automate level work.

Qualifications

• Years of level design experience, with shipped levels on a hybrid casual, RPG, or combat-based game.
• Hands-on balancing skills: you’re comfortable with stats, health and damage maths, and spreadsheets.
• Fluency in Unity: you build and iterate levels in the engine yourself.
• A strong sense of game feel: you know when a level is fun, and you can explain why.
• AI is already part of how you work every day. You've used it to automate, speed up, or rethink.
• The autonomy to build your own roadmap and make design decisions.
• A data-driven approach to level tuning.
• Feature design experience alongside level design.
