[Hiring] Senior Product Designer @ShopMy

Role Description

We're seeking a Senior or Lead Product Designer who combines exceptional UI craft with a strong builder mentality. This is someone who doesn't just design what's asked—they help shape what should be built in the first place.

• Own the end-to-end design process—from discovery, assisting in research/concept exploration through polished implementation, QA and launch.
• Partner deeply with Product and Engineering to help define problems, shape product strategy, and influence what gets built—not just how it looks.
• Think beyond design deliverables, proactively identifying opportunities to improve workflows, product quality, and customer experience across creators, brands, and shoppers.
• Prototype and experiment to validate ideas quickly, communicate concepts clearly, and reduce uncertainty before development.
• Leverage modern AI tools and emerging workflows to accelerate design, QA, prototyping, and execution while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Collaborate in critiques and product discussions, giving thoughtful feedback while continuously raising the bar for the team.
• Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and accessibility.
• Maintain exceptional craft and attention to detail, delivering polished experiences that feel intentional from concept to launch.
• Stay curious about new tools, technologies, and product patterns, helping evolve how our team designs and builds.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience, ideally in a startup or fast-moving product environment.
• A portfolio demonstrating exceptional design, visual craft, and product thinking.
• Experience designing across web, mobile, and responsive platforms.
• A builder mindset—you enjoy solving problems beyond the interface and aren't afraid to jump into unfamiliar territory.
• Strong product intuition with the ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
• Comfort with rapid iteration and working through ambiguity, knowing when to explore versus when to ship.
• Experience creating prototypes to communicate ideas and validate solutions.
• Curiosity about AI-powered design and development workflows. Experience with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar is a plus—but not required.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with Product, Engineering, and Design.
• A systems thinker who cares deeply about scalability, quality, and craft.

Requirements

• In compliance with New York Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is as shown: $150,000 — $200,000 USD.
• The provided salary range is base salary, exclusive of bonus potential or commission, and is a good faith estimate of cash compensation.
