[Hiring] Senior Product Designer @Inspira Financial

Role Description

The Senior Product Designer will report to the Sr. Manager, Digital Design and play a key role in shaping the user experience across Inspira's Retirement & Wealth digital products. This individual will leverage UX research, user-centered design principles, and modern design practices—including AI-assisted tools and workflows when appropriate—to create intuitive, engaging experiences that meet both customer needs and business goals.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on designer who can translate complex business problems into simple, elegant user experiences. You will take ideas from concept to execution, influence product direction through design-led discovery, and advocate for exceptional user experiences across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product design initiatives from discovery through delivery, applying user-centered design principles and strategic design thinking throughout the process.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Content Design, QA, and business stakeholders to understand user needs, shape business objectives, and improve design-development handoff practices.
• Conduct and incorporate user research, feedback, and data insights into design decisions; champion discovery practices that reduce downstream rework.
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate product concepts and solutions.
• Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and design execution while maintaining craft quality and human-centered judgment.
• Collaborate within Agile development environments, including Design Sprints and Scrum teams.
• Ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across products while maintaining alignment with company branding standards.
• Evolve and maintain scalable design systems, component libraries, and documentation in Storybook (or equivalent) that drive consistency, efficiency, and clear design-to-dev translation across the product portfolio.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in Product Design, UX Design, UI Design, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience designing digital products and experiences using user-centered design methodologies.
• Experience conducting and synthesizing user research and usability testing sessions with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience working with or contributing to scalable design systems, component libraries, and design-to-development workflows (e.g., Storybook, Figma libraries, design tokens).
• Familiarity with leveraging AI design tools to improve design velocity and exploration.

• Advanced proficiency with Figma, including prototyping, auto-layout, and component architecture.
• Ability to translate complex problems into simple, intuitive user experiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic, systems-thinking mindset.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills; able to tell compelling stories that influence roadmap and build credibility across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute usability tests, synthesize findings into actionable recommendations, and socialize results with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Content, and QA partners—influencing outcomes without direct authority.
