Role Description
We are hiring a Senior Product Designer to help shape and elevate the end-to-end user experience across b.well's product ecosystem. This is a high-impact role that sits at the intersection of AI, healthcare data, and consumer-grade digital experience.
You will design experiences that make complex, often intimidating health data feel simple, actionable, and empowering:
-
For consumers navigating their care
-
For developers building on our SDK
-
For enterprise clients deploying bailey as their own branded AI health assistant
This is not a role for a pixel-pusher. We are looking for a designer who leads with curiosity, backs decisions with data, and works as a strong thought partner to product managers, engineers, and design leadership. You will help define how AI interactions feel and behave, and contribute to a culture where experience quality is a genuine competitive advantage.
What You'll Do
-
Strategy and Vision
-
Contribute to the product design vision for key product areas, including baileyβ’, the b.well Health AI SDK, and consumer-facing health experiences
-
Translate b.well's mission into design patterns and product experiences within your domain
-
Partner with product managers and design leadership to help inform roadmap priorities through a design lens
-
Flag experience gaps early and bring point-of-view solutions, not just problems, to the team
-
Data-Informed Design
-
Use quantitative data and qualitative research together to drive design decisions
-
Track the metrics that matter for your product area (activation, task completion, comprehension, engagement)
-
Bring a data-backed point of view into team discussions
-
Architect designs with clear success criteria and collaborate with analytics to close the loop post-launch
-
Run structured usability studies, synthesize behavioral signals, and translate findings into clear recommendations
-
AI and Conversational UX
-
Design the interaction model for agentic AI experiences
-
Help define how AI recommendations, clinical data, and care actions surface in clear, trustworthy ways
-
Apply established standards for AI explainability, confidence signaling, and graceful failure states in health contexts
-
Health Data Experience
-
Design experiences that make longitudinal health records, clinical summaries, lab results, medication histories, and care gaps legible and actionable
-
Work with data and engineering teams to surface the right signal from b.well's integrated data sources
-
Apply deep empathy for users navigating chronic conditions, complex care journeys, or varying levels of health literacy
-
Design Execution
-
Drive end-to-end design across discovery, definition, design, and delivery
-
Contribute to and help evolve a scalable design system that supports white-label customization
-
Design across surfaces: mobile (iOS and Android), web, and embedded SDK components
-
Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to ensure design intent is realized with precision
-
Collaboration and Craft
-
Support junior designers with feedback as needed
-
Champion research as an ongoing practice and help synthesize insights into decisions
-
Participate actively in design reviews, critique sessions, and cross-functional alignment
-
Bring a strong, well-reasoned design point of view to team and cross-functional discussions
Qualifications
-
4β6+ years of product design experience
-
A portfolio that demonstrates mastery of complex, data-rich UX across consumer-facing products
-
Proven experience designing consumer products at scale (B2C, high-engagement mobile or web apps)
-
Experience designing AI-powered or conversational interfaces
-
A genuine practice around data: you know how to instrument a design, read a funnel, run an A/B test
-
Experience contributing to design systems at scale
-
Strong skills in Figma and Claude Design
-
Strong ability to communicate design rationale and research findings
Requirements
-
Background in B2C consumer products with millions of users
-
Experience designing white-label or multi-tenant products
-
Familiarity with health data or clinical terminology

-
Understanding of health equity, accessibility, and plain language design principles
