Role Description

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of Xero's products, contributing to the product vision, strategy, and end-to-end experiences within your product area.

• Design Excellence & Innovation: Expertly apply advanced knowledge of design fundamentals and platform standards to deliver detailed design deliverables and high-quality experiences.
• Strategic Research & Insights: Collaborate with researchers and product managers to conduct research using qualitative and quantitative methods to identify patterns and insights.
• Communication: Effectively communicate design ideas, constructing evidence-based arguments to support decisions and confidently present in design reviews.
• Project Leadership & Planning: Organise, break down, and sequence work effectively to achieve goals, involving cross-functional team members and adjusting plans as needed.
• Product Strategy & Systems: Understand Xero's strategy and contribute to the product vision and roadmap, translating complex ideas into simple solutions.
• Mentorship & Influence: Demonstrate design leadership by partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment on design solutions and advocate for user-centered approaches.

Qualifications

• A portfolio that demonstrates high-quality design outcomes, contributing to user experience and business value.
• Experience working on large design projects.
• Experience building and iterating on a product or experiences based on usage patterns, user feedback, and an evolving strategic landscape.
• Experience across the entire design process, with mastery in executing elegant interfaces.
• Experience supporting product roadmap, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions.
