[Hiring] Senior Product Design Manager @KOHO

Role Description

As Senior Product Design Manager, you will lead design across a complex portfolio that combines two very different but deeply connected challenges:

• Helping teams create and grow new customer experiences.
• Building the systems that allow excellent design to scale across KOHO.

You will lead and develop product designers working across zero-to-one, growth, onboarding, and other high-leverage product opportunities. At the same time, you will provide strategic leadership and support to the KOHO Design System team, helping the system evolve as a practical, adopted, high-quality foundation across app and web.

This is a role for a design leader who can move fluidly between ambiguity and scale. You will help teams turn uncertain opportunities into clear product directions, design experiments that create real learning, and make thoughtful trade-offs between velocity, quality, customer trust, and long-term experience coherence. You will also understand when a solution should be explored as a local experiment and when it needs to become a reusable pattern that improves the whole product.

You will work closely with Product managers, Engineering, Data, Research, Marketing, and other functional teams. As part of KOHO’s Product, Design, and Engineering partnership, you will shape strategy, create clarity across multiple teams, and raise the quality of the experience without making teams dependent on process or central approval.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience designing and shipping consumer-facing digital products, ideally across mobile and web, in fintech, financial services, or another complex domain.
• Significant experience leading and developing product design teams (4+ years), including designers working on ambiguous, high-impact, or consequential problems.
• Meaningful zero-to-one and/or growth experience.
• Deep design-systems expertise.
• Strong agency and sound judgment.
• Expertise influencing product strategy, roadmap decisions, scope, and prioritization.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable using modern AI tools.

Requirements

• Balance growth velocity and unit economics with customer value, craft quality, trust, accessibility, and long-term experience health.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Research, Marketing, and other teams.
• Represent Design in roadmap, resourcing, timeline, and quality discussions.
• Support the KOHO Design System team through strategic direction, prioritization, critique, coaching, and cross-functional partnership.
• Build the operating practices, feedback loops, and decision frameworks that help teams move quickly, learn continuously, and scale quality.
• Identify the capabilities KOHO needs as the organization grows.
• Use AI-enabled tools responsibly.

Benefits

• Budgeted salary range: $170,000 - 220,000 CAD / year.
