Role Description
Join Ciena’s Creative Team as a Sr Graphic Designer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects, from creating brand assets to designing graphics for collateral, events, websites, and social media. Reporting to the Global Creative Director, this position is pivotal in ensuring Ciena’s brand identity shines across all touchpoints.

Develop and maintain Ciena’s visual brand identity across diverse design projects, including iconography, infographics, presentations, trade show graphics, advertising, collateral, social media, websites, and video.

Contribute to the evolution of brand guidelines, templates, systems, and assets.

Create layouts and designs that align with creative briefs and marketing objectives.

Manage artwork production processes for trade shows and internal/external events.

Design and modify infographics, diagrams, and illustrations to enhance visual storytelling.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver high-quality creative assets.

Ensure all deliverables meet deadlines and maintain the highest quality standards.
Qualifications

8+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer (in-house or agency).

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art direction, visual communications, or related field.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Bridge), Figma, and Microsoft Office.

Portfolio showcasing expertise in layout, typography, and visual composition must be included with the application.

Experience designing for global brands or working within established brand guidelines.

Proven ability to develop designs for trade shows and events under tight deadlines.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements

Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing tools.

Knowledge of emerging design trends and technologies.

Experience in UX/UI design and prototyping.

Background in creating interactive or digital experiences.

Strong understanding of print production processes.

Ability to troubleshoot design software issues effectively.
