Role Description
The Senior Design Technologist is responsible for integrating technology into the design process, implementing advanced design workflows, and driving digital transformation initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of both the design process and the technical skills necessary to bring designs to life. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in digital design.
Responsibilities

Support Design Technologists in the successful implementation and delivery of design technology solutions on major projects or programs.

Partner with Project Design Technologist to manage the digital health of the project and ensure digital delivery commitments are met.

Lead specific major initiatives identified by the Design Technology group, including planning and successful completion.

Partner with consultants and clients to maintain the digital health of models and support digital collaboration.

Own relationships with key vendors and champion CannonDesignโs needs and priorities.

Lead project teams with BIM project execution planning at project kickoff and milestones.

Author and implement standard workflows and processes.

Evangelize, educate, and support primary design applications.

Champion technology to leverage data collection and query for design intelligence, optimization, automation, simulation, and downstream exploration for artificial intelligence.
Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years of related experience, with at least 5 years in design technology, software development, or a related role.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design Technology, or related field.

Strong background in AEC, design technology, and software development.

Solid understanding of project phases from design through construction/close out.

Knowledgeable in design software and comfortable with new technology testing and adoption.

Demonstrates a deep understanding of design processes and delivery requirements.

Good verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and experience training others in design, delivery, and BIM usage.

Strong leadership skills and ability to drive consensus with various stakeholders.

Strong client and practice engagement capabilities.

Strong technical knowledge of model authoring tools like Revit, analysis tools like Insight 360, Dynamo, and review tools like Navisworks, Bluebeam, Revizto, Enscape, and other Design Applications.

Knowledge of the Revit API is preferred.
Requirements

The salary range for this position is $92,200 to $115,200 annually.
