Role Description

This role reports to the Lighting Design Manager and forms parts of the overall sales side of the business through managing and delivering lighting design and technical support to the sales team. The incumbent will also work as a dotted line responsibility within a customer account team alongside a customer account executive.

Within this team you will manage:

• New opportunity designs and technical requirements
• Related deadlines and milestones
• Compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations

As a Senior Lighting Designer, you will play a critical role in our company's design team, contributing to the fulfillment of client opportunities, projects, and the success of our organization. This role demands a high level of interaction with both internal and external stakeholders and must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and embrace our company's vision, mission, and values.

What You’ll Do

• Review client briefs and document them accurately within our internal systems
• Provide design concepts and submissions for new clients and opportunities
• Execute lighting designs in adherence to Design & Construct specifications, company protocols, and client deadlines
• Manage and collaborate with junior designers and contractor teams:
  • Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to team members
  • Assist in the selection of appropriate lighting fixtures
  • Provide guidance and support throughout the design process
  • Conduct thorough reviews and approve completed designs
  • Facilitate the review and processing of client-initiated design changes
  • Oversee peer reviews and address any questions or issues promptly
  • Ensure the above is completed in accordance with client deadlines and milestones
• Assist when required in the design, development, and testing of new and existing products
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to internal team members and clients on design inquiries, quotes, and technical matters

Qualifications

• Agi32: Advanced proficiency required
• AutoCAD: Intermediate proficiency expected; familiarity with Revit is a bonus
• Office 365: Advanced knowledge necessary
• Salesforce/CRM: Intermediate proficiency preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of the following standards:
  • AS1680.0 to AS1680.5
  • AS1158.3.1
  • AS4282
  • Green Star V1 and V1.3
