Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Product Designer to join our team at AHOY. This role will involve transforming complex problems into seamless and engaging user experiences. As a Product Designer, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to design, iterate, and refine products from concept to execution. You should possess a solid understanding of design principles, be skilled in visual design, and have a passion for creating user-centric products that drive results.
Requirements
- Design and iterate on product designs that enhance user experience and fulfill business goals.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and create design solutions.
- Conduct user research to inform design decisions and validate design concepts.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Utilize user feedback and testing results to refine and enhance product designs.
- Maintain design consistency and quality across all product interfaces.
- Stay current with industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive product vision.
- Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and solutions.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Excellent visual design skills, with attention to detail and aesthetics.
- Ability to articulate design decisions and concepts to non-design stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative design processes.
- Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Passion for creating meaningful user experiences and a desire to tackle complex design challenges.
