Role Description
We're looking for a Product Designer with excellent prototyping, motion, and brand/visual design skills to join our Partnerships team and to support how Thumbtack's brand system shows up across the product. This role sits at the intersection of go-to-market design and in-product brand experience:
-
Pair product design sensibility with storytelling, prototyping, and polish to accelerate partnerships and go-to-market efforts.
-
Help translate brand system updates β iconography, motion language, moments of delight β into consistent, high-craft product experiences beyond Partnerships alone.
-
Work closely with Business Development, Sales, Go-to-Market Operations, Product, and Brand teams.
-
Spend more time visualizing new experiences, prototyping, animation, and production design.
-
Create interactive demos and motion-rich experiences for partners.
-
Elevate motion and brand craft in live product surfaces.
What youβll do
-
Lead a significant portion of our product experience and be accountable for business outcomes.
-
Conduct user research and lightweight tests to scope and prioritize product initiatives.
-
Transform a vague, ambitious idea into a compelling business and product case, secure resources, and lead execution with clear success criteria.
-
Champion deep learnings and insights as a core metric, valuing them alongside traditional metrics to fuel smarter, more innovative product decisions.
-
Partner with marketing, engineers, designers, data and applied scientists to ideate, prioritize and deliver great solutions for our customers and professionals.
-
Coordinate within your team and among teams at Thumbtack to ensure understanding of and alignment around projects.
-
Drive a high-impact initiative from seed to scale, ensuring sustained focus by thoughtfully sunsetting or culling initiatives that do not meet success criteria.
Qualifications
-
3β5 years of product design experience.
-
A blend of agency and in-house product design experience, supported by a strong portfolio.
-
Advanced Figma prototyping skills, from low-fidelity flows to high-fidelity experiences with motion and interaction.
-
Experience creating polished micro-interactions, transitions, and animations, with strong attention to craft, timing, and detail.
-
Experience translating brand systems into product experiences through motion, iconography, and UI polish.
-
Understanding of technical feasibility and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering partners.
-
Strong communication and visual storytelling skills to align cross-functional stakeholders.
