Role Description

This role involves leading the end-to-end design process to shape seamless user experiences that accelerate scientific discovery.

Become an expert on users, their usage behaviors, and scientists’ typical research workflows within the first 90 days.
Own the end-to-end user experience across an area of the product and its integration with the BioRender product suite.
Talk to users and obsess over user feedback and usage data of beta users to design user experiences that create raving fans.
Proactively seek, facilitate, and apply feedback from customers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to iterate on designs.
Determine if and when product areas or information architecture need to be revisited for long-term success.
Contribute to the overall product strategy at BioRender and re-evaluate the product roadmap based on user behavior and feedback.
Be an active member of the BioRender Design team that critiques and drives continuous evolution of the overall design.

Qualifications

Experience experimenting with and using AI to improve design and research workflows.
Built simple user experiences in a complex domain where the user is not necessarily the domain expert.
Experience designing scalable user experiences that support a wide array of functionality.
Owned the end-to-end user experience for an entire product, developing, launching, and iterating on a broad product surface area.
Driven by insatiable user-obsession to understand users and design technical products that drive business outcomes.
Science background is a plus but not required.
