Role Description
This role involves tackling complex design challenges and delivering impactful solutions that enhance customer experience.
- Tackling the most complex and ambiguous design challenges, turning complexity into elegant, scalable solutions.
- Defining and delivering large-scale projects that connect initiatives across the business.
- Leading the creation of compelling product visions, principles, and direction.
- Raising the bar for visual execution, considering motion, interaction, and mental model clarity.
- Positively influencing our design system, tooling, and processes.
- Driving improvements across the business by connecting your work to wider goals.
- Acting as a role model in Design, mentoring others, and contributing to the growth of the Design team.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of delivering impactful, customer-centric native-app designs.
- Skilled at leading research, defining product visions, and aligning teams.
- Excel at creating modular, scalable solutions and effectively communicating insights.
- Natural collaborator who can navigate multi-squad projects and drive clarity.
- Passionate about improving design systems, processes, and ways of working.
- Role model who contributes to the growth of the Design team through hiring and mentoring.
- Excited about Monzo’s mission to make money work for everyone.
Requirements
- Experience in delivering customer-centric designs that solve complex problems.
- Ability to lead research and align teams around shared strategies.
- Strong grasp of design artefacts for effective communication.
- Experience in collaborating across teams and projects.
- Commitment to fostering a positive team culture.
