Role Description
This role is part of our Global Studios team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products, and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients.
As the Lead Motion Designer, you are the people leader and creative engine of the Argentina Motion Team. You are accountable for the department's output and the successful management of your team. You ensure our culture and quality remain uncompromised as we scale, acting as a bridge between the local talent and the global DEPT®/Studios team.
What You’ll Do

People Management:
Lead, manage, and inspire the motion design team; responsible for performance reviews, resource allocation, and team satisfaction.

Strategic Oversight:
Oversee all design output, ensuring the team meets the highest standards for our clients.

Art Direction:
Collaborate with creative leadership to set the visual tone and motion language for major campaigns.

AI Strategy:
Lead the adoption of Generative AI (e.g., Weavy, Freepik, Replicate) at a departmental level to find production efficiencies and stay ahead of industry trends.

Pitching:
Support the creative process by pitching ideas and concepts to mid-level client stakeholders and internal leads.

Workflow:
Refine the intersection of Figma, After Effects, and Jitter to ensure the team is set up for success and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Substantial experience leading and managing successful design teams.

Expert-level proficiency in Figma, After Effects, and Jitter, with the ability to jump 'hands-on' to troubleshoot or set creative direction.

Experience with 3D, Touch Designer or Cavalry is highly desirable.

Experience scaling creative production through the use of AI tools and automated workflows.

Strong communication skills, enabling you to act as a creative partner to internal leads and client-side managers.

English proficiency for collaboration with the global DEPT® team.
