Role Description

The company is seeking a talented and creative Junior Industrial Designer to join its growing design team. The role will primarily focus on floor plan design and rendering, requiring a strong understanding of layout principles, furniture and fixture knowledge, and spatial awareness. The ideal candidate possesses a solid foundation in design principles, along with technical proficiency and strong communication skills.

• Develop comprehensive floorplan layouts for various hospitality, industrial, and commercial spaces.
• Ensure that floorplans adhere to design standards and client requirements.
• Utilize design software to create accurate and visually appealing floorplans.
• Create high-quality renderings of floorplans to visualize design concepts and communicate effectively with clients.
• Employ industry-standard rendering techniques and software to produce realistic and immersive visualizations.
• Demonstrate a keen understanding of spatial relationships and how to optimize the use of available space.
• Consider factors such as accessibility and functionality when designing floorplans.
• Ability to work with technical drawings and specifications.
• Analyze client needs and preferences to develop tailored design solutions.
• Identify potential design challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to address design issues and find creative solutions.
• Adapt to changing requirements and project timelines.
• Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Work efficiently to deliver high-quality results within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related field with an updated portfolio.
• 0-2 years of experience in industrial design or a relevant field (or strong internship experience).
• Strong understanding of design principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in 2D design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator) and basic knowledge of 3D modeling software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality products.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Capacity to consistently adapt to continuous process improvements.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Familiarity with both Apple and Windows operating systems.
