[Hiring] Junior Fashion Designer @Cleobella

1wk ago - Cleobella is hiring a remote Junior Fashion Designer. 💸 Salary: $55,000 – $72,000 📍Location: USA

Role Description

We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented Junior Fashion Designer to join our creative team. You will support the design process from initial concept through production, helping to translate global inspiration into wearable art. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with our founders and senior design team to maintain Cleobella’s signature feminine, effortless aesthetic while upholding our commitment to sustainable materials.

  • Develop detailed, colored flat sketches and CADs using Adobe Illustrator to clearly communicate design intent to internal teams and global artisan partners.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive digital tech packs, including BOMs, construction call-outs, and graded specs to ensure accuracy for remote production.
  • Participate in virtual fit sessions via video call, digitally documenting comments and updating technical drawings in real-time.
  • Prepare and scale digital artwork for signature hand-woodblock prints and embroidery, ensuring layouts are optimized for sustainable fabric yields.
  • Manage daily digital communication via Slack, email, or PLM with artisan partners in Bali and India to track sample progress and resolve design queries.
  • Conduct independent digital research on global trends and traditional heritage techniques to contribute to seasonal mood boards and concept decks.
  • Organize and maintain the design server, ensuring all digital sketches, fabric libraries, and inspiration folders are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Virtually scout and vet sustainable fabric mills, maintaining an organized digital database of eco-friendly materials and GOTS-certified sources.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the production and marketing teams through digital project management tools to ensure collection deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the digital curation of seasonal color palettes and fabric stories that align with Cleobella’s ethically handmade aesthetic.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in fashion design (internship experience at a similar brand is a plus).
  • Artistic Eye: A strong understanding of Cleobella’s aesthetic—feminine, bohemian, and timeless—and a deep appreciation for artisanal craftsmanship.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional organization, a proactive "can-do" attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Pay: $55,000 – $72,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, and other considerations.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work for a purpose-driven, female-founded B Corp.
  • Growth opportunities within an internationally recognized lifestyle brand.
