Role Description

The Graphic Designer will report into the Director of Paid Media, supporting video and static image creation for our Paid Social and Paid Search teams. This is a seasonal role to start, focusing on the holiday season of October through December, with an option to extend into an annual contract. Ideal candidates will have a few years of work as a graphic designer, with experience making video and static ads for platforms like Instagram, Tiktok, and more. This role is scoped for a freelancer located in Central or South America, and offers a rate starting at $15 per hour for up to 20 hours of work per week.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience creating video and static content for Paid Social advertising, ideally for clients in the United States.
• Ability to analyze performance of advertising campaigns to identify trends and opportunities for improvement to apply on future campaigns.
• Resourcefulness in obtaining stock footage and images when client creative is missing or lackluster.
• Comfortable experimenting with AI-assisted design tools and emerging creative technologies to improve creative production, efficiency, and performance.

Requirements

• Create original graphic design items, including digital ads made of video or static images, working with a high attention to detail requiring minimal edits or revisions.
• Perform competitive and industry research to identify trending creative styles that inform asset development.
• Collaborate with Paid Media Strategists to analyze the performance of creative running in ad accounts to see what’s performing and what isn’t, what to duplicate, and what to not run again.
• Translate strategic direction into high-quality design concepts and original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout within parameters of the client’s brand guidelines.
• Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials in multiple file formats including jpg, png, mp4, mov, and others.
