[Hiring] Graphic Designer @Path of Hope Rescue

Role Description

By combining artistic talent with a passion for animal welfare, the Graphic Designer will help the rescue raise awareness, attract donors and volunteers, and ultimately find loving homes for our dogs. This role involves developing a wide range of visual content, including:

• Promotional materials
• Social media graphics
• Website banners
• Infographics
• Newsletters
• Event flyers

The designer must have a strong understanding of branding and ensure that all designs are consistent with the rescue's visual identity and messaging. They collaborate closely with the marketing teams to create content that effectively communicates the stories of the dogs, highlights upcoming events, and engages the community.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in graphic design software and tools, including Canva
• Time Management Skills - prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
• Creative Thinking - ability to generate fresh ideas while adhering to brand guidelines
• Communication Skills - articulate design concepts and collaborate with team members in a remote environment

Requirements

• Understand and interpret creative requests to deliver messaging that aligns with brand voice and objectives
• Craft compelling and engaging design work for various materials, including advertisements, websites, social media posts, emails, and internal documentation
• Prioritize and work within folder structure and organization
• Collaborate with the Creative Team to create quality content (photographers, copywriters, graphic designers, and other videographers)
• Incorporate feedback and make revisions based on team and leader input
• Follow through on commitment, honoring requested timeline
• Be flexible when urgent projects come up such as medical fundraisers

Company Description

At Path of Hope Rescue, we save pregnant dogs and puppies from high kill shelters in the Southern United States. Our Spokane, Washington based Rescue strives to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We do not have a kennel or building location and are 100% foster-based. We currently have two paid employees and rely heavily on volunteers and fosters as we work to build out our paid staff roles.
