Role Description

This is a remote position. The Graphic Designer works as part of the Web Development Team and reports to the Team Manager. His specific tasks are as follows:

• Design web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials.
• Create these materials by hand or by using technology, including computer software programs: Adobe's Creative Suite—including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more.
• Meet with web designers to gain an understanding of what they want their proposed web pages to look like.
• Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications.
• Select type size and style to enhance the readability of text and image.
• Produce drafts for review by clients and make revisions based on the feedback received.
• Review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect client specifications.
• Study design briefs and determine requirements.
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software.
• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for graphics.
• Work with copywriters and creative director to produce the final design.
• Amend designs after feedback.
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
• Post content to various Web 2.0, audio, text and myriad other social media Platforms.
• Log posts to appropriate spreadsheets.
• Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, internal company announcement videos, external promotional social videos, product marketing videos, recruiting videos, corporate training and other enterprise-wide projects.
• Script, storyboard, budget, allocate resources and select optimal forms of media for projects.
• Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content.
• Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media.
• Other tasks assigned.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a graphics designer or in a similar role.
• Mastery of graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premier Pro, etc.
• Knowledge of video and audio editing software programs is a big plus.
• Solid knowledge of design and visual principles.
• Demonstrated portfolio showing creative, design, and software skills.
• Ability to evaluate choices critically, with the customer's needs in mind.
• Ability to communicate design choices clearly.
• Ability to take and follow directions, while also having a creative eye for improvements.
• Good time-management skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Great multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure.
• General understanding of computers and digital equipment and knowledge of new and cutting-edge technology.
