Role Description
This individual must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software, specifically Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat; as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The Graphic Designer must be a self-motivated, creative individual who gives strong attention to detail. The role is heavily production oriented. Strong project management and time management is required. The graphic designer will be responsible for independently project managing a high volume of projects simultaneously and ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met. The role requires a high degree of collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Effective communication and relationship building is critical for success.
- Work closely with the marketing team to elevate brand image, loyalty, and recognition while adhering to brand standards and brand positioning.
- Provide best practice recommendations and templates to maximize marketing efforts.
- Participate on project teams to provide strategy on visual implementation of marketing efforts.
- Identify and recommend new technologies and techniques for graphic storytelling.
- Design original static and animated graphics for social media platforms, marketing collateral, and other online platforms that engage Allegion US clients and partners.
- Work alongside the content team to design original infographics (static and animated) that convey complex and technical data/content in compelling and easy to understand visual representation.
- Provide market and campaign design themes for integrated marketing and content activities.
- Partner effectively with internal teams on creative direction and execution, including coordinating requirements, fulfilling requests, reviewing output and iterating projects through final draft.
- Work cross-functionally with major stakeholders that include product marketing, content marketing, and field marketing.
- Determine scope of work and predict appropriate timeline on projects.
- When necessary, collaborate with third-party agency partners on creative projects.
- Workload will be approximately 30% digital creative / 70% print creative.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience, in graphic design or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience preferred.
- Prior experience working in an agency or a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer and technology skills in both Microsoft and Mac operating systems.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
- Experience with Adobe Work Front or other similar workflow management systems & Adobe AEM or other similar digital asset management system.
- Must combine creativity with technical proficiency and accuracy.
- Strong communication, project management, and time management skills.
- Ability to easily brainstorm, present, and implement various creative executions.
- Proven success in fast-paced, demanding environments, frequently working with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated track record of creativity and imagination in a corporate business environment.
- Experience in Web Design, Videography, and B2B Product Marketing is a plus.
