Role Description

WELLSTAR, a majority-owned subsidiary of WELL Health Technologies Corp, is a high-growth SaaS company with a focused objective of reshaping healthcare through digital enablement. We are hiring a Director, UI/UX Design to lead the design function for the Clinical Platform Group. In this role, you will:

• Lead and develop the design team, creating clear ownership and providing meaningful feedback.
• Own the end-to-end product experience, ensuring quality, consistency, and coherence across workflows.
• Shape AI-assisted experiences, setting the design direction for AI integration into clinical workflows.
• Strengthen collaboration between Design, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Evolve design practices and systems, refining processes from intake to delivery.
• Bring users closer to product decisions through sustainable user research practices.

Qualifications

• Design leadership experience, including coaching and managing performance.
• Product design expertise with a focus on usability and attention to detail.
• Ability to evolve a design practice through improved processes and systems.
• Cross-functional approach, working closely with Product and Engineering teams.
• Curiosity for AI-enabled design, with experience in AI or LLM-powered products being an asset.
• Adaptability to design for user needs in complex environments, with experience in healthcare being an asset.

Requirements

• Experience leading and developing product designers.
• Strong design judgment and ability to critically evaluate work.
• Experience in agile product environments.
• Ability to introduce structure without unnecessary process.
• Experience in healthcare, EMR/EHR products, or another regulated environment is an asset.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $120-150K, determined based on experience, qualifications, and organizational needs.
