[Hiring] Director / Senior Manager, Product Design @BioRender Inc.

Role Description

As a leader on our Product Design team at BioRender, you will be responsible for leading our product designers that build the products that accelerate how millions of scientists all over the world communicate their scientific breakthroughs and discoveries.

• Within the first 90 days, become an expert on our users, their usage behaviors, and scientists’ typical research workflows.
• Work closely with our founders and executives to understand and help refine our product UX strategy.
• Lead a team of product designers to deliver a great experience using our product, which is a combination of scientific applications and scientific content.
• Measure and improve our product design impact, using both qualitative and quantitative data to guide iteration.
• Work cross functionally across our engineering, product, and design (EPD) teams and our go-to-market (GTM) teams.
• Champion great design craft and quality, driving continuous evolution of our design team and the company as a whole.

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years of product design experience, ideally in a fast growing SaaS startup environment.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role managing other product designers.
• Technically fluent in modern SaaS frameworks and AI technologies.
• Ability to be both a manager and an individual contributor.
• Understanding of the business impact of product design.
• Team player with the ability to challenge ideas to reach the best solution.
• Expert at bringing together qualitative user insights and quantitative data.
• Simple and clear communicator.
• Passion for our mission, vision, and product.
• Background or experience in life sciences is a plus, but curiosity and desire to learn about science is required.
