About the team :

The Marketing and Branding team shapes Luno’s visual identity and digital voice across all customer touchpoints. We are a group of independent thinkers who believe in a tomorrow where cryptocurrency empowers individuals and forms the foundation of a more inclusive financial system. We work closely with product, content, and marketing partners to deliver cohesive creative work that supports our mission of making crypto accessible to everyone, everywhere.

The role in a nutshell:

We’re looking for a highly skilled Digital Designer with a strong visual and conceptual background—someone who is detail-oriented, systems-minded, and passionate about crafting meaningful digital experiences.

In this role, you will be the bridge between brand storytelling and functional web design. You will help design and build new web experiences, maintain our digital systems, and contribute to the future direction of Luno’s online presence. This role is both conceptual and hands-on; we need a "design-first" thinker who views the browser as their primary canvas and uses tools like Framer to bring ideas to life with high-fidelity execution.

Your mission will be:

• Concept and Execute: Translate brand and marketing goals into engaging, human-centered digital designs, from creative campaign landing pages to meticulous UI details.
• Build & Ship: Use Framer to prototype and build refined, functional web experiences. You will be responsible for taking designs from Figma to live pages, ensuring the final product is as polished as the initial concept.
• Interactive Storytelling: Design with motion and interactivity in mind, ensuring the Luno brand feels alive, responsive, and intuitive to user input.
• Evolve the Identity: Contribute to the development and maintenance of Luno’s visual identity and digital brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and "digital craft" across our web ecosystem.
• Narrative Design: Translate complex ideas (crypto, wallets, staking, global finance) into clear, compelling visual narratives that resonate with both beginners and experts.
• Systems Thinking: Identify opportunities to improve user experience, visual quality, and interaction design across the Luno website.
• Collaborate: Partner closely with marketing, growth, and product teams to deliver cohesive, cross-functional creative work.

A little about you:

• Experience: Proven experience in digital design or web creative roles (agency, in-house, or startup) with a portfolio showcasing high-end digital craft and strategic thinking.
• Design Mastery: Strong command of typography, color, layout, hierarchy, and composition. You have a "keen eye" for the details that elevate a brand in a digital environment.
• Technical Toolset: High proficiency in Figma and Framer. You should be comfortable building, iterating, and shipping directly within these environments.
• Web Native: You understand the constraints and opportunities of the web—responsiveness, load speeds, and user behavior are always top-of-mind.
• Proactive Mindset: You are motivated by fast-paced, evolving creative challenges and are comfortable taking full ownership of a project from the first sketch to the live site.
• Communicator: A clear, proactive communicator who is comfortable presenting work, explaining design decisions, and aligning with teammates.
• Crypto Curious: You have a genuine passion (or strong curiosity) for cryptocurrency, Web3, and the future of finance.

Things that will really get you noticed:

• Experience with motion design or creating micro-interactions.
• Understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) principles.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or basic custom code overrides in Framer.
• Experience working with or contributing to scalable design systems.
