[Hiring] Creative Director @Vanta

Role Description

Lead Vanta’s creative team through the brand refresh and shape how the refreshed brand comes to life across global campaigns, web, advertising, events, video, product launches, and everything in between.

The Brand team sets the vision, strategy, voice, and creative expression that make Vanta distinctive and trusted. We connect a complex product and a rapidly changing market to clear, memorable experiences across every surface where customers encounter Vanta.

As Creative Director, you’ll lead a nine-person creative team and own the final creative expression of the Vanta brand. You’ll partner closely with the Director of Brand Strategy and Voice, who owns brand strategy and copy, while you set the bar for how visual and verbal expression come together in systems and applications.

What you’ll do as a Creative Director at Vanta:

• Lead the completion and global application of Vanta’s brand refresh across campaigns, web, advertising, events, decks, video, product launches, and other brand surfaces.
• Set and maintain a high creative bar across visual systems and applications, making the final call on how copy and design come together in the team’s recommendations.
• Lead, coach, and develop a nine-person creative team spanning campaigns, web, production, motion, and brand design.
• Build a reliable creative operating model, including intake, briefing, prioritization, capacity planning, project communication, and quality review.
• Partner with Brand Strategy and Voice, Comms, Growth, Product Marketing, Web, Events, Product Design, and other stakeholders to turn complex narratives into compelling creative work.
• Guide the team through focused creative sprints for major campaigns and brand moments, balancing ambitious ideas with practical delivery constraints.
• Bring broad cultural and creative perspective to Vanta’s work and help the team explore new creative territory.
• Use agency and external partners selectively to extend the team’s capabilities while maintaining a clear in-house point of view.
• Shape the long-term structure, capabilities, and talent plan for the creative organization.

Qualifications

• You have a strong design-led background and a portfolio that demonstrates both excellent personal creative work and an even stronger record of work led through other designers and creative teams.
• You have meaningful in-house experience, ideally within a SaaS or technology company serving a B2B audience.
• You have experience creating thoughtful integration between product and brand experiences.
• You can translate complex products and narratives into compelling, consumer-grade creative.
• You have led and developed senior creative talent through mentorship, actionable feedback, and clear standards without micromanaging.
• You have built creative systems and processes from scratch, then improved them over time.
• You bring strong operational judgment across intake, prioritization, capacity planning, timelines, stakeholder communication, and delivery.
• You build trust quickly with cross-functional partners and communicate clearly when priorities or timelines change.
• You are highly collaborative, low ego, and able to improvise under constrained timelines or changing priorities.
• You have agency experience or another source of broad creative perspective that helps you rapidly immerse yourself in new problems and raise the ambition of the work.
• You are comfortable working primarily within U.S. time zones and traveling several times per year for events and team off-sites.
• Responsible for protecting Vanta and customer data in how your team operates and delivers results.
• Uses AI in day-to-day work to amplify their skills and strengthen their outcomes, applying it across routine workflows, actively building fluency through experimentation, and exercising sound judgment to ensure AI-assisted work meets a high quality bar.
• Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
