[Hiring] Civil Drafting Design Technician @Uintah Engineering & Land Surveying

Role Description

We are looking for individuals who are interested in developing or continuing a career in the technical field of Civil Drafting Design. Join our Design Team to contribute to our diverse and dynamic projects. You will be doing civil engineering design, including:

• Survey plats
• ALTA surveys
• Grading design
• Mapping
• Right-of-way plats
• Alignment sheets
• Legal descriptions
• Construction plans

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, land surveyors, and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient design solutions that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements. This position requires the use of:

• AutoCAD Civil3D
• Trimble Business Center
• Microsoft Suite
• Other applications

Our Design Team is divided into three main categories (Pay Ranges are based on skills, performance, experience & tenure):

• Entry Level Technician (WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY LOOKING TO ADD STAFF AT THIS LEVEL)
  • Pay Range: $17-$22/hr.
  • No previous drafting experience required.
  • You will be supported and trained to become highly efficient in preparing deliverables for customers utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Civil Design Technician
  • Pay Range: $22-$30/hr.
  • One to 5 years of experience using AutoCAD or other Graphic Design or Mapping software, or with relevant education.
• Civil Design Specialist
  • Pay Range: $30-$40/hr.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years or more of civil engineering design in some or all of the following areas:
  • Survey plats
  • ALTA surveys
  • Alignment sheets
  • Grading design
  • Mapping
  • Right-of-way plats
  • Legal descriptions
  • Construction plans
  • Civil Design Project Management - Contribute to the project lifecycle, from concept to construction documentation, including budget tracking and quality control.
